Data Flow and Data Import

Optimised Data Flow

Depending on the use case, different data flows and variants of data import are possible.

The data can flow directly into the Knowledge Graph from the data provider via industry-specific central database systems, which are often used by cities, regions and state tourism organisations, or alternatively enter the Knowledge Graph via the region and state in a step-by-step model. It is also possible for data to flow from the service provider directly into the knowledge graph.

When data flows via central database systems and the data infrastructure of the regions and state tourism organisations, the existing tourism data models generally have to be expanded and interfaces adapted in order to map the MICE data model in detail.

There are four main variants of data import: In individual cases, the data can be entered manually via a data mask. Another variant is import via XLS, XML, CSV or JSON files. As a rule, data is exchanged via interfaces using the pull or push method.
